Hello and welcome to Top 100 Horror Movie Moments. I have been a horror movie fan for as long as I can remember, and believe me that's a pretty long time! ; )
Horror movies reach down inside us and grab that primordial part of us all that reaches way back. Back to when you were a little kid laying in bed at night wondering when that hand was going to come reaching up from under the bed, or when that closet door was going to slowly start to open up, bit by bit. For some of us that fear has followed us up through adulthood, but we have embrace that fear. And one of the ways we do that is with horror movies.
Now this list is going to be my personal list of favorites, but will also include links to other sites, whose opinion will vary on the best of the best and scariest of all time. Everybody's opinion is going to be different because everyone has different ideas on what's really scary to them.
For some people it will be the bloodier and gorier the better. For some it will be all about vampires, or some particular type of monster / thing that goes bump in the night. But no matter what your preference for terror, we all share one common desire. Getting scared out of our wits, one way or another!
